Every year I make a #makenine list for the year. It is a list of nine sewing projects for the coming year. The last few years I have been overly ambitious and failed miserably at completing my list. I’m more of an impromptu type of sewer. When I feel inspired I will make something for myself rather than planning so far in advance.  This time around I am making a list of things that I will be able to wear on a regular basis. My Top Ten Looks of 2020- A Look Back on 2020 Outfits

What a year 2020 has been! I spent the first half of the year locked in my basement making masks and my only trips out of the house were to the Grocery store or to the Post Office. I started to miss dressing up to go out, so I just started to wear a nice outfit even to the corner store! Happy Solstice! And so this is Christmas...

    And so this is Christmas... What a strange year it has been! So why not end it with a strange Holiday season as well? Normally by this time of year I’m exhausted from all the artisan shows and the festivals that start in September and go straight through until Christmas. Having not participating in any craft fairs or festivals this year it just all feels a bit surreal. Recently I watched the new Netflix series The Queen’s Gambit. The series is set in the 1960s amid the competitive Chess world and has beautiful sets as well as a striking 1960s wardrobe.  I am really not that interested in competitive Chess, However I do enjoy historical shows that are set in the 60s or older. Try not to let the premise scare you off. It’s not all boring Chess competitions but rather focuses on the struggles of the main character.
